Balcony Design for Wellbeing

This project is focused on quality of life for inhabitants in urban high density dwellings, specifically evaluating circadian lighting, daylighting, view quality, and gardening potential in balconies.
I developed a grasshopper script of a set of 9 balconies with 12 parameters including dimensions of unit and balcony, type of balcony, distribution of balconies, glazing materials, orientation, and window-to-wall ratio. The parameters
were narrowed down to generate daylighting, view, and circadian lighting simulations with a total of 31,034 simulations. For the daylighting simulations, Honeybee components were integrated, Climate Studio for view analysis, and LARK 2.0 componets for the circadian lighting simulations.
