NESTED REFLECTIONS
Date: Winter 2021 | Professor: Tei Carpenter | Course: Design Studio II
This pavilion was created from a base geometry that was copied, mirrored, and scaled. It exhibits a mix of light and heavy walls with openings that frame views towards the center. Despite not having a clear entrance, the wall openings lead to the pavilion’s center, creating an axial spatial sequence.
The design includes the use of materials that determine the light and heavy aspects of the walls: reflective mirror material, wood screening, and concrete walls.
