With a focus on shared public amenities in the neighborhood, I determined four patterns within four block typologies in which I developed sustainable alternatives for the space.
The agri-food parcels would give residents the ability to rent or sell gardening spaces to produce “zero-packaging” fruits and vegetables. The existing public shared amenities were upgraded with the purpose of promoting outdoor activities. Finally, the integrated parking lots were optimized with sustainable parking lots. These have solar panels that would generate energy for the single-family homes.
For the use of family homes, I designed two types of green structures: the green roof structures that would help reduce air pollution and produce oxygen; and the greenhouses that would allow people to grow plants during the winter.
